• Device Telemetry: Sensor readings (temperature, humidity, soil moisture), actuator states, and system health data transmitted from your Trellis controller to our cloud platform.
• Usage Data: How you interact with our web dashboard and mobile applications.
• Log Data: IP addresses, browser type, and access times when you visit our website.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and maintain your Trellis controller and cloud services
• Send SMS alerts and notifications about your greenhouse conditions
• Process commands you send via SMS to control your devices

• Send service-related communications (not marketing)

3. SMS Messaging Terms

3.1 SMS Alerts and Notifications

When you register a Trellis controller and provide your mobile phone number, you may opt in to receive SMS messages from Trellis Controls. These messages include:

• Critical Alerts: Immediate notifications when sensor readings exceed your configured thresholds (e.g., temperature too high or too low), equipment failures, or system errors.
• Status Updates: Optional daily or periodic summaries of your greenhouse conditions.
• Action Confirmations: Confirmations when system changes occur (e.g., "Vents opened," "Heater activated").
• Two-Way Commands: You may send SMS messages to adjust controller settings or request status updates.

3.2 Consent to Receive SMS

By providing your phone number and enabling SMS notifications in your account settings, you expressly consent to receive text messages from Trellis Controls at the phone number provided. You understand that:

• Message frequency varies based on your alert settings and greenhouse conditions
• Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan
• Consent is not a condition of purchasing our products or services
• You can opt out at any time (see below)

3.3 Opting Out of SMS

You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any message from Trellis Controls
• Disabling SMS notifications in your account dashboard

After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS messages unless you re-enable notifications. Note that opting out of SMS does not affect critical safety functions of your controller, which operate autonomously on-device.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

• TLS encryption for all data in transit between devices and our cloud platform
• Encrypted storage for sensitive data at rest
• Device-level certificate-based authentication

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Telemetry data may be retained for historical analysis and product improvement. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.
